About Gullah ArtThe Gullah Art Project is a new initiative to create a lasting, comprehensive, interactive, online database of Gullah artists/ artisans, and their art and textiles (in all media). Gullah sci-artist Verneda Lights, CEO of E-graphX Omnimedia, (located in Port Royal, SC), is the Founder of this initiative. Our goal is to create a global audience that is knowledgeable about, and interested in promoting and purchasing the works of Gullah artists and artisans.

EligibilityAll Gullah artists and artisans over the age of 18 are eligible for inclusion. You qualify if you are an African-American visual artist or artisan who was born in the coastal Gullah-Geechee territory between Greenville, North Carolina and Jacksonville, Florida. There is no charge for submissions. Listings are free. Artists and the works showcased here will serve as a reference for curators and collectors around the world.

How to ApplyTo apply for inclusion, fill out an application (download here) and submit along with 3-5 images (72 dpi and less than 2 mb each), of your best work. Email to submissions@gullahart.com.
